Stone Reinforcement
A thin slab of marble, granite or natural stone of reduced thickness is combined with a honeycomb sandwich panel to reduce weight and facilitate handling and installation.
A composite is a combination of materials with different properties. This combination gives the composite material mechanical characteristics such as lightness and resistance that are superior to those of single materials.
Sandwich panels with honeycomb core and fiberglass skins impregnated with epoxy or phenolic resin (Step Series), are used to reinforce marble and semi-precious stones.
Sandwich panels, made with different honeycomb cores and glass-fibres impregnated with epoxy resin, permit to reduce stone thicknesses. This confers the panel lightness and resistance at the same time. Lightweight Sandwich panels are not only used to with marble and precious stones, but also be with any stone or ceramic material.

Lightweight
The marble composite panel can be 5mm (Compounded with aluminum honeycomb panel), the thickness of ceramic/granite composite panel is just 12mm, Because of lightweight, it can save a lot of transportation cost. The reduced weight of the panel also means less load stress is applied to the building or structure, It’s the most appropriate choice when there is load limited for building structure.
High strength and superrigidity
With the combination of marble, ceramic tile, granite, and aluminium honeycomb panel, the intensity of stone honeycomb panel is better than the traditional stone slab. The bending resistance and shear resistance are obviously improved, which greatly reduces the damage rate during transportation, installation, and use.
Easy to install
Lightweight, high rigidity (not easy breakable) less colour difference property make installation easier, safer, and faster, reduce installation cost.
Sound insulation and moisture proof
The stone aluminium honeycomb panel is made of aluminium honeycomb panel and stone veneer. It has the properties of sound insulation, moisture proof, heat insulation and cold resistance because of its hollow hexagonal honeycomb core structure. The air layer between skin sheets is also divided into a plurality of closed cells, preventing air flow, and heat is difficult to convert and transmit. In this structure, the propagation of sound waves is also greatly limited.
